Reservations are subject to availability. A major credit card (Visa or Master Card) is required to hold a reservation. 100% of the balance is due upon reservation.

We will endeavour to respond to all email enquiries within 24 hours of receiving them. Please email bookings@redsuncamels.com.au

Once we have received your booking request, we will confirm availability of your seats but your booking is not fully confirmed until we have received full payment and you have received a confirmation number from us. We accept no liability if you have given us incorrect contact details and we are then unable to contact you to request payment and confirm your booking which ultimately leads to your requested seats becoming unavailable. 
 
Please ensure you choose the seats in the correct weight category, failure to select the correct seats will result in your booking being cancelled. If you are unsure about what seats to select please contact us on 08 9193 7423. 

Please note all passengers are responsible to declare accurate individual body weights at the time of booking. Passengers can be weighed upon check in for camel tour to verify the provided weights and if weight is over what was declared, you will be unable to ride and no refund will be given. We are not able to accommodate last minute weight increases. 
 
Whilst touring with Red Sun Camels, two passengers travel per camel. 
 
Red Sun Camels operate a 95kg maximum weight limit per person / per seat. 
 
In addition to the individual weight limit, Red Sun Camels operate a combined weight limit of 170kg per couple (individually no more than 95kg). Any couples that exceed the combined weight limit of 170kg will each be required to ride on their own camel and as such will be charged for two seats. Please choose the "Couple 170-190kg combined weight (individual max 95kg)" option. 
 

• No adult and lapsitter's (child aged 0-4 years sitting on parents lap) combined weight to exceed 95kg.
   

• Any two adults and lapsitter(s) (child aged 0-4 years sitting on parents lap) that exceed a combined weight limit of 170kg, will each be required to ride on their own camel and an additional charge will apply. Please select the "Couple 170-190kg combined weight (individual max 95kg)" option.

Suitability to ride on the day is ultimately the cameleer's decision. The cameleer's discretion must be respected at all times in the interest of the welfare of our camels and the comfort and safety of our guests.

All rates quoted are per person and inclusive of GST. 

Child rates are for children aged 5-15 years and not exceeding 60kg. Children 4 years of age and under can sit on their parent's lap, and are charged at the laspitter rate. Please ensure that you meet our weight policy above. 

Sundays and public holidays attract a 15% surcharge. 

A 1.9% credit card surcharge applies to all bookings. Please note this is non-refundable. 

Full refund if reservation is cancelled 6 hours or more to scheduled tour. For morning tours, cancellations must be received no later than 6pm the day before. 100% cancellation fee will be applied if cancelled within 6 hours of scheduled tour, or later than 6pm for morning tours. 

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 3 - 5 working days for the refund to show on your statement, depending on your bank. Credit card fees are non-refundable.

 
Extenuating circumstances requiring tour refunds will be assessed on a case by case basis. 
 

Amendments made to bookings with more than 6 hours notice are free of charge. No shows are charged 100% of their reservation amount. Red Sun Camels reserve the right to cancel or amend tours for reasons such as: severe weather, beach / tide conditions and animal well-being.  

If a participant arrives 10 minutes after the scheduled start time, they will be counted as a 'no show'. Please know that your scheduled time is for the mandatory check-in and not for the ride itself. 

Red Sun Camels are located on the northern side of the rocks, Cable Beach. On the day of your tour simply check-in at our vehicle parked behind the rocks, at the time of your reservation. We will need your confirmation number for the check-in. If you are booked with a voucher or ticket through a resort/booking agent please ensure you bring this with you. 

For safety reasons, Red Sun Camels will refuse to carry guests who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Refunds will not be given in these circumstance.

Guests are not permitted to carry large, heavy bags whilst riding and are requested to remove any loose items from their pockets which may potentially fall out during the ride. We can, upon request, store bags and other items whilst guests are on tour, in our vehicle. Red Sun Camels will take all reasonable care to protect the property of guests.

A person shall not be permitted on any tours and / or interaction with the camels for any of the following reasons:

1. A person who is unable to comprehend, or disregards safety instructions. 

2. A person under the influence of drugs or alcohol or otherwise similarly impaired.

3. The determination as to the fitness of a person to participate in a tour  will be made solely at the discretion of Red Sun Camels management, without recourse.

Safety and client welfare are of paramount importance to our company. All staff and camels are trained to the highest standards. Red Sun Camels is covered by public liability insurance.

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during our safety talk and loading passengers onto the camels. 

Guests are not permitted to smoke whilst we are conducting our safety demonstration talk and whilst riding our camels. 

Guests with disabilities will be accommodated where possible. The decision to allow disabled guests to ride is solely at the discretion of the cameleer. Please advise us at time of booking of any disabilities. 
 

All riders and parents / guardians of children, must read below before joining this camel tour.

"While every reasonable precaution will be taken to prevent accident, injury and damage, the owner will not be responsible for any accident, injury and damage however arising which may happen to any person irrespective of the extent of injury, damage or loss sustained, and this condition of contract may be pleaded by the owner as a bar to any action claim proceeding for breach of contract, negligence or any other liability sustaining such injury, damage or loss."

When agreeing to our terms and conditions, all clients are aware of the risks involved in riding a camel and have agreed to the above indemnity towards the company Red Sun Camels Pty Ltd.
