Red Sun Camels are located immediately north of the rocks on Cable Beach, adjacent to the beach access. Red Sun Camels operate tours seven days a week, throughout the year.

HISTORY
Red Sun Camels was established in 1991, with only six camels.
​
John and Janet Geappen purchased Red Sun Camels in 2000, and they have successfully developed the business to owning more than forty camels. They are Broome’s only awarding winning camel tour and were the first to gain National Tourism Accreditation.
​
In 2002 they exported six trained camels to South Korea, to perform in Verdi's Aida Opera, held at the Olympic Stadium in Seoul.
​
In April 2007 they opened the 'Camel Store' in Chinatown, Broome. A speciality shop selling camel related merchandise. Also in 2007, Red Sun Camels supplied six camels to pull a wagon in the movie 'Australia'.

In 2012 Red Sun Camels were awarded Australia's North West Tourism 'Best Land Based Tourism Operartor', they were also a finalist in the Western Australian Tourism awards for the same category.

In 2014 Red Sun Camels organised the first 'Broome Camel Cup' held at the Broome Turf Club with over 3500 people attending the event.
Red Sun Camels has received media coverage in over thirty countries around the world and is Broome’s longest and most photographed camel train.
